Tame and Train the Mind
The average person’s mind churns out 5,000 random thoughts per day, leading to stress and less-than-peak performance.  Our first MFT task is to help slow down and tame the mind, so that it works to your advantage.  By so doing, we create your “Mental Home Base,” the critical first step in developing a powerful mental program that is personally tailored to your needs.

You can learn hundreds of techniques and purchase the latest technology, but if you are a slave to your mind, you are wasting a lot of time, energy, and money.  In the beginning, golfers, like everyone else, are slaves to their minds.   For many golfers, golf is much less enjoyable than it should be.  In fact, it can be mental anguish for many.

Here is a common scenario:
You start off at the first T, take a swing, and it’s not that great.  You might say to yourself, “That was a crummy shot.”  Perhaps the next few swings don’t turn out too well.  At that point, you may begin to say to yourself, “This is not going to be a good day.  What is wrong with my swing?”  By now you have set in motion the psychology of failure, and by the end of the 18th hole (and a not-very-good score), you ask yourself, “What is wrong with me?!!”  You have spent several hours saying things to yourself that your worst enemy would not say to you.  Learning a few affirmations or using positive thinking will not change this pattern.

You can master your mind and your golf game through Mental Fitness Training.

THE ESSENTIAL 6 MENTAL FITNESS TECHNIQUES:
1.  Meditation (quiets the mind).  There are 4 powerful techniques I teach.
2.  Use of the Breath.
3.  Mood Words.  These are verbs like “Blast,” or “Glide.”
4.  Affirmations.
5.  BCTR (Body-Centered Trauma Resolution)
6.  Mental Imagery.  There are thousands of techniques.

The starting point for transforming your game is learning how to slow down your mind, that churns out 5, 10, 15,000 random thoughts every day.
